New home. Separate punch list.
A new-build handoff needs a clear boundary between cleaning and unfinished construction. Record the materials, completed work, and remaining contractor responsibilities before the cleaning begins.

A method worth keeping
Three deliberate steps.
01
Confirm the site is ready
Ask whether construction is finished and identify remaining trade work. Get product instructions for new floors, glass, counters, and fixtures.
02
Separate dirt from defects
Record scratches, paint overspray, adhesive, damage, and unfinished items before treatment. Assign each item to the cleaner or builder under the agreed scope.
03
Walk through after the clean
Check the contracted areas when dry and lit. Keep unresolved items on the punch list and protect completed surfaces from later trade work.
A little help goes a long way
Let us take care of the clean.
Always follow the surface maker’s care instructions and product label. Never mix cleaning products. This guide is for ordinary household care, not hazardous-material remediation. Product-specific instructions take priority.
