Surface intelligence · Field note 01
Clear glass starts with the surface.
Water spots, soap film, and damaged glass can look similar. Start with a small test area so you learn what you are cleaning before treating an entire shower. Coated glass needs its own care instructions.
Your kitSoft cloth; nonabrasive sponge; glass-approved cleaner; squeegee

A method worth keeping
Three deliberate steps.
01
Read the glass instructions
Check the door brand and any protective coating. Choose a cleaner explicitly approved for that surface; protect nearby stone and metal from runoff.
02
Lift the film
On cool glass, test a small corner. Apply the cleaner as directed and use a soft sponge. Keep the product on the surface only for its labeled dwell time.
03
Rinse and judge it dry
Rinse thoroughly, then squeegee and dry the edges. View the glass in side light. A haze that remains may be damage rather than removable residue.
A little help goes a long way
Let us take care of the clean.
Always follow the surface maker’s care instructions and product label. Never mix cleaning products. This guide is for ordinary household care, not hazardous-material remediation. Product-specific instructions take priority.
