A calmer home · Field note 12
Dust in a direction.
A repeatable direction makes dusting less frustrating. Work only at heights you can safely reach and keep the final floor pass until the surfaces above are finished.
Your kitMicrofiber cloths; suitable vacuum; stable reach tool

A method worth keeping
Three deliberate steps.
01
Clear a small zone
Move lightweight objects safely. Start with reachable upper surfaces and use a tool suited to the finish.
02
Capture, then change the cloth
Use clean cloth faces as they soil. Work across shelves, furniture, and lower ledges without shaking dusty cloths into the room.
03
Finish below
Vacuum reachable floor edges and then the open floor. Return objects to dry surfaces and check the ledges from a low angle.
A little help goes a long way
Let us take care of the clean.
Always follow the surface maker’s care instructions and product label. Never mix cleaning products. This guide is for ordinary household care, not hazardous-material remediation. Product-specific instructions take priority.
