A calmer home · Field note 13
Guests are coming. Choose the right room.
When time is short, prioritize what guests will actually use: the entrance, a bathroom, and the place you will sit. A clear, comfortable route matters more than hidden storage.
Your kitClutter basket; clean cloths; appropriate surface cleaner; fresh hand towel

A method worth keeping
Three deliberate steps.
01
Clear the route
Remove shoes, bags, and trip hazards from the entry and seating area. Put misplaced items in a basket for sorting after the visit.
02
Reset the guest bathroom
Check the toilet, sink, mirror, soap, paper, and hand towel. Use separate tools for the toilet and other surfaces.
03
Finish where you gather
Wipe the table, tidy seating, and vacuum the visible floor. Set out what your guests need and stop when the planned zones are ready.
A little help goes a long way
Let us take care of the clean.
Always follow the surface maker’s care instructions and product label. Never mix cleaning products. This guide is for ordinary household care, not hazardous-material remediation. Product-specific instructions take priority.
